1.) Mario, welcome to The Mayfair Musings! Tell us a little about your job role at Lanserhof at The Arts Club...
I started recently as Chief Operating Officer, in October of this year. The role encompasses the leadership, strategy and direction of every aspect of our business here at Dover Street. I am simply thrilled to be here - the responsibility for such a premium offering is its own reward, which I try to embrace with gusto and a smile on my face. The opportunities that lie ahead are incredibly exciting – LATAC is without question London’s most comprehensive and state-of-the-art members wellness club and private clinic.
2.) You've been in Mayfair for quite a while...where were you before Lanserhof at The Arts Club?
I have indeed. For the last six years, I was formerly Club Director for the Bath and Racquets Club and Mark’s Club, both in Mayfair and part of the Birley Group. I have had the good fortune and privilege to meet and work with so many extraordinary, interesting and wonderful Members and colleagues, many of whom I consider dear friends.

3.) Lanserhof at The Arts Club is an exciting new addition for the club. What are some of the highlights?
The Arts Club and Lanserhof have joined forces with a compelling new approach to health and wellness. We place our Members’ and clients’ needs at the very heart of our endeavours, and focus on a personalised, holistic approach to preventive healthcare and fitness optimisation. As a globally renowned brand, Lanserhof has been setting standards in modern medicine for over 30 years. The first of its kind in London, Lanserhof at The Arts Club offers unparalleled levels of expertise, support and care to ensure prolonged success.
4.) We're very interested in the private members' gym. What are the facilities / classes available to members?
Our Members have unbridled access to some of the world’s leading expertise in the fields of diagnostics, medicine and fitness. We are the first to offer a completely new generation of fitness equipment - the interactive technology by Technogym tracks and monitors training in real time, providing feedback to enable to improve performance. These machines complement a gym with impressive weights, cardio and cool down spaces. Our trainers know and can track our Members’ fitness and health status and support them in the implementation of their tailor-made training plans. Members also have access to a number of Studio classes including Yoga, Reformer Pilates, HIIT and Functional Training.

5.) What are the different membership tiers?
Each Member begins their journey with a consultation with our Medical Director to establish a personalised health programme with clear check-points to ensure progress. There are three membership options which have been designed to support different lifestyles - we would encourage anyone interested in membership to contact us to arrange a meeting to tour the Club and to discuss their goals in more detail, please email lanserhof@theartsclub.co.uk.
6.) 2020 has been challenging to say the least, involving temporary closures. How has Lanserhof at The Arts Club responded to this whirlwind year?
Lanserhof at The Arts Club remained open throughout the course of this year as a medically safe, serene environment for our Members and clients to focus on their health and wellbeing. We have been able to continue offering our medical services and duty of care to those needing it during these challenging times.

7.) What advice do you have for those looking to reduce stress levels?
We offer a range of wellness treatments to help rebalance mind, body and soul. Given the new challenges presented to us by our increasingly fast-paced lifestyles, we want to help Members on their journey to better health, inner balance and a new quality of life. Ranging from acupuncture and massages to vitamin infusions and beauty treatments, our wellness services help ease the stresses of everyday life, with lasting benefits beyond every visit.
8.) What's on the menu at Lanserhof?
The menu celebrates bold flavours and seasonality - including carefully selected favourites and classics from The Arts Club, Members can choose from a selection of vibrant, delicious and nourishing dishes to fuel your day. Our Members’ Lounge nods to the Lanserhof philosophy of ‘Energy Cuisine’, with a nutritional approach designed to both lessen the effects of stress in daily, city living and achieve higher levels of energy. This comes from a carefully balanced menu, focusing on organic, local and seasonal produce, blended in dishes that are high in antioxidants, vitamin levels and micronutrients.

9.) What do you love most about Lanserhof at The Arts Club?
Many things come to mind:
I do love the passion and dedication of our team, particularly when our Members take the trouble to let me know just how much they appreciate it.
The contemporary design is also very pleasing on the eye. For striking design and comfort, look no further than our Members Lounge.
The excitement of seeing someone try cryotherapy for the first time – before and after, is always a joy!
10.) When you're not busy working, where might you be found and what will you be up to?
Certainly enjoying time with my family; I also try to keep active and play padel tennis every weekend - my new obsession – as well as train in our gym and struggle with our gym challenges; Unfortunately I am still spending far too much money on a rusty Alfa Romeo.
