I am really excited about the upcoming photography exhibition titled 'ABSOLUTION' by fashion photographer Camille Sanson and model Gina Harrison. The two have worked with various luxury fashion, jewellery and beauty brands including YSL, Elle, Tatler, Glamour and Swarovski amongst others and have now joined forces to collaborate on a new exhibition tackling mental health issues and stigmas around childbirth and motherhood.

Camille actually became pregnant during the shoot and so this series of photographs was shot before, during and after her pregnancy and attempts to explore and highlight the numerous mental health issues that Camille and many new mothers have experienced.

Camille Sanson comments; “I would love this exhibition to inspire women with mental health issues to seek their own healing through addressing their subconscious fears and finding a deeper connection within themselves and their shadows. It is not easy to undertake these journeys but ultimately so important if we are to strive to have a happier life, especially when bringing new souls into this world, so we can avoid transferring our own issues to our children and continuing unconscious patterns within them.”

Although the images still carry Camille’s signature technical style, they are a departure from her fashion editorial and still life work - the photographic series remains unedited and as natural as possible in order to honour the true female form. The show will run from 29 January – 3rd February 2018 at the Herrick Gallery in Mayfair.
