GEORGE CLUB HAS REOPENED FOLLOWING AN EXCITING PRIVATE PREVIEW EVENT

George Club hosted VIPs including, Will Poulter, James Norton, Emma Raducanu, Arsema Thomas, Sopé Dirisu, Fola Akingbola, CKTRL and Michael Ajao, for an exciting preview ahead of the club’s relaunch on 1st June 2023. Having closed its doors for refurbishment 2021, the Club’s relaunch has been overseen by Patricia Caring and designed by Richard Caring, Co-Executive Chairs of The Birley Clubs. The club boasts a unique atmosphere, blending contemporary elegance with creativity and culture.
Surrounded by art by the legendary David Hockney, Kelis took centre stage, singing a medley of her iconic singles, including "Milkshake", "Trick Me" and "Millionaire”. The brand new basement space, aptly named The Hound Bar, became the heart of the evening's celebrations and the Club's expertly curated lineup of DJs, including Louise Chen, Marly, Mestiza and David Alexander Finn, delighted guests until the early hours.
George offered an exquisite selection of custom cocktails created by Head Bartender Santos Borzi, drawing inspiration from the vivid artworks of David Hockney within the Club. Cocktails included the iconic George Martini, made with Absolut Elyx vodka infused with Tonka bean, and Bianco bitters.
Throughout the evening, attendees were offered a glimpse into the new menu at George. Curated by Executive Head Chef, Marcus Eaves, canapés showcased a fusion of British and Mediterranean influences, including Marinated Tuna with Watermelon, Fennel & Green Chilli; Iberico Ham & Confit Tomato Croquette with a Basil Emulsion; Burrata with Grilled Peach, Fresh Almonds & Basil; and Seared Diver Scallops with Nduja, Baby Spinach & Coriander. In The Hound Bar, guests were offered a selection of late-night snacks including Sticky Pork Bao and the indulgent Fish Finger & Caviar Sandwich.
Guests enjoyed a selection of Bird in Hand Wines including Nest Egg Chardonnay 2019 and Bird in Hand Syrah 2019 from Adelaide Hills, Australia were also expertly paired with the canapes.
