SAVILE ROW GIN'S MAYFAIR LAUNCH EVENING AT GIEVES AND HAWKES
“I wanted to create a spirit that celebrated Britain’s proud tailoring heritage with a gin that had a taste and aesthetic that upheld the values of its iconic London namesake.”
Stewart Lee, Founder of Savile Row Gin
On the evening of 26th September 2019, Savile Row Gin hosted their inaugural launch party at Gieves and Hawkes, No. 1 Savile Row - of course, we were delighted to attend! David Gandy, British style icon and entrepreneur, has been appointed as Brand Ambassador and investor in the new British spirit, which will be available to buy at Fortnum & Mason and online in October 2019.
Passionate about British brands, Savile Row Gin is the latest addition to Gandy’s portfolio of British brand investments. The Mayfair-inspired London dry gin is made with a blend of 12 botanicals (including kumquats), with production overseen by British Master Distiller, Rob Dorsett. The gin packs a juniper and citrus punch, balanced with coriander and pepper. It’s smooth to taste and is an excellent choice for true appreciators of classic British tailoring and craftsmanship. “I wanted to create a spirit that celebrated Britain’s proud tailoring heritage with a gin that had a taste and aesthetic that upheld the values of its iconic London namesake. A Savile Row suit is known universally as the best one can buy. With the name comes a level of expectation. Using the same artistry and attention to detail, we feel we have crafted a gin that the Row would be proud to serve.” - Stewart Lee, Founder of Savile Row Gin
“I look to invest in British start-ups that I believe to be of superior quality with inspirational teams. As a lover of gin, Savile Row Gin stood out from the crowd with its smoothness and flavour. I loved the fact it is a quintessentially British product, produced in the UK and curated on one of Britain’s most iconic streets, one that stands for craftsmanship and quality. I’m excited to be part of the team to help expand and grow the brand.” - David Gandy
You can expect to spot Savile Row Gin in and around Mayfair, available at Morton’s Club, Home House, Maison Assouline, The Mandrake Hotel and The Polo Bar at The Westbury Hotel. There are also partnerships in place with Jack Barclay Bentley, Bonhams, London Fashion Week Men’s and Jazz FM. Schweppes is the official tonic partner to Savile Row Gin for events due to it’s 18th-century heritage and close in alignment with the heritage of Savile Row.
