“I first met Jean-David Malat, founder of JD Malat Gallery at one of his exhibition openings for the brilliant painter Henrik Uldalen at the end of 2019. I was working for an events and communications agency spanning art and luxury industries at the time but given my History of Art degree, I was determined to gain hands-on experience within the contemporary art sector.”
JD Malat Gallery has announced opening of The Garden, the second solo-show at the gallery by Bilbao-based artist Luis Olaso (b. 1968), and you can visit from 13th July until 12th August 2023. JD Malat Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of In The Beginning And So It Goes..., a solo show by Lagos-based artist Ayanfe Olarinde (b. 1996). On display from 13 April to 6 May 2023, this exhibition offers a visual narrative of mythological traditions of Yoruba, one of the most prominent and widely recognised cultures in Nigeria and West Africa.
