THE 6 MOST ROMANTIC SPOTS IN MAYFAIR: BOOK NOW FOR VALENTINES DAY 2018
Cover photo: The Grill at The Dorchester.
It's that awkward time of the year between New Years and St Valentine’s Day where Megan and Harry photos are everywhere and the vast majority of the population are royally failing at the detox whilst panicking about the 'plus one'.
Questions you might be asking yourself:
- 'Elizabeth and Jonathan have a reservation at that hot new place in town, can I book it too?'
- 'Does my current Valentine deserve to be taken away for a champagne-fuelled soirée at a world-famous country house hotel?'
- 'Now that Spring is fast approaching, is it time for a fresh start?'
- 'My mother actually quite likes this one, should I propose?'
- 'I'm single. Which dating apps should I download to ensure I am not a total loser on V Day?'
Whichever route you decide to go down, our beautiful city boasts some of the most picturesque and desirable hot spots in the world and it would be a shame to waste them. I strongly suggest that you select one of my carefully chosen venues for the most romantic day of the year!
1.) The “Romance at The Dorchester” package at The Dorchester Hotel
This year, fully embrace the romantic history of Dorchester Collection’s The Dorchester in the heart of Mayfair. As the location where The Look of Love was composed for the original film of Casino Royale and where Stephen Webster met Guy Ritchie and Madonna to design their engagement ring, the hotel certainly has an air of romance about it. It is even rumoured that world-renowned actress Elizabeth Taylor carved her and Richard Burton’s initials into the pink marble of the Harlequin Suite’s bathroom.
To add a personalised touch, the hotel has introduced their newly launched Romance at The Dorchester package, where couples can enjoy an overnight stay and breakfast in bed served by a Butler, with a bottle of Champagne and chocolates upon arrival. Couples can have free access to spa facilities, including the Aromatic Steam room and experience showers. To round off the visit, a romantic dinner at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in the Table Lumière completes the perfect day.
The “Romance at The Dorchester” package is priced from £603 for a Superior King Suite, including English breakfast for two.
