COMING SOON: ANNABEL'S ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY EVENT

4th March 2025

Annabel’s annual International Women’s Day event is scheduled for 7th March 2025. In partnership with The Caring Family Foundation, the event will include a breakfast featuring a panel discussion with influential women, followed by a musical performance, similar to past events.

This year’s theme, ‘Accelerate Action,’ emphasises the need for bold steps to achieve gender equality and confront the systemic barriers and biases that women continue to face. The Caring Family Foundation is dedicated to this theme and will showcase how proactive measures can drive change for women in three key areas: breaking the cycles of domestic abuse, addressing food insecurity in the UK and Brazil, and empowering communities to protect the Amazon rainforest.

In 2024, the Foundation provided support to 3,946 survivors of domestic abuse in the UK and Brazil. In the UK, it allocated over £250,000 in grants to nine essential domestic abuse organizations, including specialised services for marginalized communities. Furthermore, the Foundation supplied crucial funding to the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, which remains an important resource for women throughout the UK.

To celebrate International Women’s Day at Annabel's, best-selling author Emma Dabiri will serve as the panel moderator, joined by an exceptional lineup of speakers:

Victoria Prew – Founder of HURR

Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton – The UK’s highest-ranking female Chief Fire Officer, who has led teams during significant incidents such as the London Bridge attack and the Grenfell Tower fire

Phoebe Schecter – The first British female coach in the NFL

To conclude the event, Nectar Woode will provide a special performance.
