This week, i’ve been on the hunt for outstanding venues available for private hire. I managed to explore two beautiful private members’ clubs in Mayfair, owned by Birley Clubs. Both of these exquisite venues offer multiple options for private hire, which is open to members and non-members alike. Whether you’re planning a baby shower, corporate function, birthday party or a summer soirée ‘just because’, Annabel’s and Mark’s Club offer some exceptional spaces in which you can host a truly memorable event.

Annabel’s

Downstairs, toast an engagement at the breath-taking pink onyx, back-lit bar as you host an idyllic drinks reception in The Rose Room, followed by a tranquil dinner in the secluded Garden underneath the stars. The Silver Room, Annabel’s
The west-facing Silver Room overlooks the enchanting Garden and is adorned with original, ornate Georgian features, carefully restored with silver detailing. Featuring bespoke silver glass panelling depicting images of classical figures, The Silver Room is a unique space ideal for private events such as intimate lunches and dinners with a maximum capacity of 40. High ceilings and well-appointed proportions allow the room to be flooded with natural light throughout the day, offering tranquil elegance, with shimmering surfaces and a muted colour palette. The Flower Room, Annabel’s
Ideal for all manner of events and special occasions, from baby showers to birthday dinners, The Flower Room offers a timeless combination of luxury, glamour and intimacy. Filled with natural light which streams through elegant double-height windows that offer spectacular views over Berkeley Square, this beautiful botanical-inspired room is adorned with pink Pierre Frey wall silk, stitched with a blooming cherry blossom pattern and has a maximum capacity of 40. Mark’s Club
Mark's Club in Mayfair offers a perfect location for intimate gatherings and celebrations in the capital, combining a classic setting for both business and pleasure. Here, you can expect timeless, traditional décor, perfect comfort and truly attentive service. If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, far removed from the bustle of city life outside, this is the venue for you.
There are four exceptional spaces available to hire throughout Mark’s Club, suitable for different event sizes and requirements. Host your guests in The Indian Room or The Circus Room, offering vibrant and bold surroundings for a bespoke soirée for up to twenty guests. There is the luxurious Red Room, perfect for luxury events, or The Garden Room, perfect for stylish parties in a nature-inspired setting. The Terrace at Mark’s Club offers a secluded oasis in the heart of Mayfair, ideal for an intimate summer drinks party; it’s heated and covered, adorned with luscious evergreen plants, flowers and glowing lanterns.
The Indian Room, Mark’s Club
Evoking a sense of romance, Mark’s Club can adapt to make your creative vision a reality
Located on the second floor of the club, The Indian Room at Mark’s Club is a vibrant and sumptuous private dining room complete with its own ornate bar. The deep crimson silk walls are hung with striking works, notably two large insects by Sarah Graham, and a decadent 19th Century French gilt chandelier with coloured drops hangs from the iridescent ceiling. Large, south-facing windows let in lots of natural light, highlighting richly coloured soft furnishings and a bohemian carpet. The Indian Room can be arranged ‘theatre’ style for talks and presentations and can seat up to 16 guests for lunches, dinners, drinks and canapés.
