Oysters at Bentley’s
This St Patrick’s Day, take a tour of Ireland’s beloved oysters at Bentley’s with the St Patrick’s Day Oyster Masterclass or tuck into some of Richard’s most nostalgic Irish dishes just down the road at Corrigan’s Mayfair. From 10th-17th March the chef will be serving up Irish classics at his eponymous upscale Mayfair-based restaurant. If you, like Richard and so many, are fans of the favourite Irish crisp - the Tayto - then step aside to Dickie’s Bar after your meal for the Tayto Martini with Cheese and Onion and Salt and Vinegar options both available.
Looking for something a little rowdier? Head to Richard’s Old Street restaurant, Daffodil Mulligan and subterraneous Gibney’s where the team have lined up a string of live music and Irish trad during the week of St Patrick’s. Saturday 15th will see the space transformed into a lively Irish boozer, kicking off with a screening of the Ireland vs. Italy Six Nations match before the tables are cleared for Irish music and a DJ set by Jennifer Crothers. Included in the £5 entry is a Jameson, Ginger & Lime on arrival and you’ll find an oyster shucker on hand for the duration.
