COFFEE LOVERS REVIEW: THE MELITTA® EPOUR® FILTER COFFEE MACHINE
This month, we were graced with the glorious presence of the new Melitta® epour®, a stylish and sleek filter coffee machine that presents perfectly brewed coffee at the push of a button. The machine is available in two colour ways - Matte Black & Gold (which we chose) and Matte Black & Chrome.
We are real coffee lovers, so due to this special occasion, we picked up a wonderful Columbian coffee blend from Fortnum and Mason’s named ‘El Jordan’, made with beans grown by a collective of small coffee growers - in fertile soil that sits within the shadow of the Nevado Del Huila volcano. The coffee is from Planadas, Tolima, grown at an altitude of 1500 - 1900m and hand-roasted in small batches on a vintage drum roaster. This delicious blend is known for its rich notes of chocolate, roasted almonds and ripe peach.
It did not take long to set up the Melitta® epour® - the instruction booklet is clear and concise and the machine comes with supply of filter coffee papers. Once the water and coffee were securely in place, we pre brewed the coffee and within a couple of minutes, we hit the start button. The epour® is impressively quick, so if, like me, you often find yourself short of time in the mornings, this is the machine for you.

All in all, we can’t say a bad word about this machine. We’ve ditched the capsule machines and instant coffee and will be using the Melitta® epour® daily - Victoria for decaf blends until our baby arrives and a variety of rocket fuel blends for me. The thing we love most about this machine is the way it has become a real feature of our open plan kitchen and living room. At the click of a button, the room is filled with delicious coffee, engaging all the senses and preparing you for a productive day, powered by nature’s finest pick-me-up.
