The Terrace offers guests the chance to step into a corner of Provence this summer
Visit The Churchill Bar & Terrace on Portman Square to try new cocktails from the UNITY menu, a celebration of collaboration and treasured traditions of the bar team’s respective cultures. The team were inspired to connect to their roots, highlighting their respective heritages whilst committing to sustainability and exploring local flavours and home-grown produce.
Drawing inspiration from Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine, The Churchill Bar & Terrace, located within Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, offers fine wines, premium spirits, award-winning cocktails and tempting dishes. This opulent and tranquil spot is located just moments from Oxford Street.
‘The Mexica Empire’, is made with Rum Copalli, an award winning Belize spirit sustainably crafted from heirloom sugar cane and rainforest-canopy water, mixed with "Limonada Especial", the bar’s take on the much-loved Mexican Aguas Frescas, which uses the entire cucumber and lime skin resulting in no waste. The drink is completed with Ancho Reyes chilli liquor, based on a recipe first seen in 1927.
‘Mama Maria’ is inspired by the Mediterranean’s fruit farming heritage. Lakes Distillery The One whisky is combined with a homemade juice of beetroot shrub and bell peppers, discarded from the kitchen. Evoking orchard fruits and smokiness from a warm day in Southern Europe, the cocktail is finished off with sweet vermouth.
Pommery and Chateau La Gordonne present an exclusive menu of Champagne and rosé. To accompany the wines, Chateau La Gordonne and Pommery have created two Summer Spritz’ in collaboration with the bar. There’s a Madame Pommery a twist on the classic Royale, made with Fig Liqueur and Umeshu; and ‘The Clementine’, with Chateau La Godonne, elderflower liqueur, fresh oregano and citrus zest.
Fitting with The Churchill Bar & Terrace’s sustainable focus, Amarante flowers have decked out the space using flowers that last, specially preserved to prevent daily wastage of floral displays. Terracotta plant pots and hanging flower baskets transform the terrace into a perfect summer hideaway.
