THE BERKELEY’S BLUE BAR MARKS THE SUMMER WITH NEW MENUS AND MUSIC
June 2023
The Blue Bar at The Berkeley, created by the late designer David Collins, has launched twelve new signature cocktails and bar snacks for summer, devised by Bar Manager Marcello Cauda; as well as introducing refreshed interiors and DJ vinyl sessions.
The new additions take inspiration from the Blue Bar’s rich heritage. Bar snacks include favourites such as Brie, Wiltshire Ham and Truffle Toasties; alongside Steak Tartare Crumpets Topped with Confit Egg Yolk and Pickled Shallot; Churros with Lashings of Shaved Manchego Cheese; Dorset Crab Tacos and a 5-star take on the humble hot dog. At 11 o’clock, the bar team will circulate French fries piled high on ornate silver trays.
Blue Move, the cocktail menu, includes I’m Blue, a disco-inspired drink that captures the vibrant energy of the Blue Bar team; Mirror Martini, a gin-based blend of aperitif wines served into a mirror coated martini glass; and Side by Side, a Sangria-style tequila cocktail showcasing peach in three ways. For a caffeine boost post-dinner, Nitromisu awaits - a chocolate and nut highball cocktail inspired by the flavours of tiramisu.
The Blue Bar’s glass pavilion is now dedicated to DJs playing vinyl-only sets on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. New state-of-the-art decks and vinyls sit against a floor-to-ceiling blue tassel backdrop and Belgravia’s own Rachel Vosper has created bespoke Blue Bar candles for the space, with precious woods and hints of clove, tart rhubarb and nutmeg.
The Blue Bar’s “Blue Move” Menu is available now
DJ vinyl sessions are Thursday - Saturday, 9pm-1am
