COMING SOON: MISTER NICE, A NEW FRENCH RESTAURANT ON DAVIES STREET
Mister Nice emailed me this morning to tell me that Mayfair is about to gain a new French restaurant! Mister Nice will provide an all-day service with simple, fresh and compelling dishes made using seasonal ingredients. Set to be a “home away from home”, Mister Nice will play host to an eclectic mix of individuals, promising to provide “an exclusive and undeniably tempting atmosphere”.
Spread across two floors, the restaurant’s interior has been designed by Victoria Vogel. A neutral colour scheme on the ground floor consists of white textured fabric along the banquettes, dark brown velvet chairs with white piping and white linen table cloths. The dark oak tread continues into the basement and runs through into the wine rooms, leading to a large bookshelf brimming with Assouline books. An arched doorway to the kitchen provides an exciting view of Executive Chef Javier Duarte and his talented team.
Javier Duarte has a passion for authenticity and authentic produce and his seasonal menu offers traditional French cuisine with a contemporary approach. Starters will include Burratta with Fresh Caramelized Figs, Chicory Walnut, Pear and Roquefort salad, Foie Gras Terrine, Smoked Salmon, Caesar Salad, Omelette Baveuse and a Green Bean and Artichoke Salad. Main dishes will include Le Club Sandwich, Le Big Nice Burger, Rigatoni a la Vodka and Wild Salmon. There will be main dishes made for sharing too - how romantic!
Able to source the rarest wines, Mister Nice offers a focused wine list made up of the best Domaines. There will be a rotating selection of 16 wines by the glass to choose from. For 50 members of the wine club, Mister Nice will offer the finest wines at the most competitive prices, thanks to its low mark-up policy. Members will also be able to enjoy an almost too good to be true “no corkage” benefit allowing them to bring their own wine in at any time at no additional cost.
