SIMPLISTIC COCKTAILS INSPIRED BY CULINARY ELEMENTS AT 20 BERKELEY

20 Berkeley is a new, British produce-led restaurant, and home to Nipperkin Bar. Expertly mixed cocktails and mocktails are offered through a menu of in-house distilled spirits created by Bar Manager, Angelos Bafas. Angelos is all about ‘seasonality, locality and an ethical approval to the environment’, in line with the ethos behind the restaurant's culinary offering. The food menu showcases innovative flavours achieved by ingredients that are predominantly sourced, distilled, or harvested in the UK. 

You’ll find Nipperkin Bar on the lower ground level of 20 Berkeley, a perfect spot for a pre-dinner aperitif or a place to unwind after your final course. Much to our delight, the bar takes inspiration from a traditional English country manor house, with interiors reimagined by internationally renowned interior architects, Pirajean Leas. Bespoke furniture and natural materials, colours and textures can be found throughout the space, resulting in an inviting and intimate space.

The cocktails are simplistic, featuring new and unexpected flavours. Drawing inspiration from culinary elements, Angelos extracts distinctive scents and profiles, such as dry honey distillate. The menu includes the ‘Aged Kelp’, made with seaweed aged for half an hour, fresh Norfolk mint and roasted Kent hazelnuts; and ‘Black Mustard’, a straight-up gimlet made with Dorset wasabi distillate and Cotswolds apple eau de vie.
